Faustino Rivero Ulecia was born in Arnedo (La Rioja) in 1899. Olegario Rivero founded an underground winery in one of the traditional “calados”, caves dug as shelters in the clay-limestone rock of the Cidacos valley. Since then, five generations of the Rivero family have continued this legacy, proud of their past, deeply connected to their land and committed to its future. Because a winery that does not honour its origin or fly the flag of its homeland is simply not a winery.
