Nostalgia is the first village wine from Arnedo. A tribute to the land that saw the birth of the century-old winery and to the Rivero family and their first establishment where Agapito Rivero commercialized wines in wineskins and botas.

TERROIR

To produce this wine, we exclusively use grapes from Arnedo, where our winery is also located, allowing us to capture the essence of this origin and highlight the deep connection to our history. This well-defined location yields a unique wine with great personality. It reveals the distinct and singular identity of this municipality, protected by Peña Isasa, whose calcareous soils create ideal conditions for cultivating quality vineyards. The climate here is Mediterranean with some Atlantic influence, which benefits us with higher rainfall and cooler temperatures compared to other areas of Eastern La Rioja. This aids in the proper ripening of the grapes. Our vineyards, averaging 30 years old, are small plots located between 500 and 600 meters above sea level.

Village Wine. Nostalgia can also be savored.

To make it, because each variety ripens at a different pace, we ferment each one separately.
We start with the Tempranillo, which is destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts at controlled temperatures between 24 and 28ºC. Afterwards, the wine rests for six months in new American oak barrels.
The Garnacha, which ripens later, is also fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts. After this, it is aged for one year in French oak vats.
After this time, we blend both varieties, which will continue to age in the bottle, a phase in which they complete and transform, achieving greater complexity and elegance.

Today we tried your Doña Isabella Garnacha Rosé, special grand cuvee. It's an exceptional wine. The sweetness on the nose is surprising, and on the palate it transports you to the purest flavor of the grape, pure fruit, pure raisin, pure varietal. Thank you!

We enjoyed the Crianza at my niece-cousin’s communion. Very pleasant, versatile and well paired. I gladly recommend it.

Perfection and balance are the first things that come to mind when you taste this tremendous wine. An excellent Rioja, perfectly finished, extremely fine on tasting and very aromatic on the nose. A wine of impeccable category that you will never tire of enjoying again.

A great discovery both for the palate and for the mind: learning about the process and the variables that influence winemaking, and how the careful tending of the vines affects the fruit.

Tasting notes Cherry red with brick-red highlights. The nose unfurls aromas of wild red and black fruits, with delicate hints of vanilla, licorice, and spices, a result of its aging in wood. On the palate, its warmth evokes memories of brandied cherries, with toasted nuances. The retro-nasal is floral and balsamic. Ideal with roasts, traditional stews, or mild cured cheeses.
