Winemaking Process

Tradition and technology at the service of wine

The winemaking process at Grupo Marqués del Atrio combines respect for traditional techniques with the application of advanced technology, ensuring quality at every stage.

1. Vineyard selection

Everything begins in the vineyard. Grapes are carefully selected based on their variety, ripeness, and soil characteristics, ensuring optimal raw material.

2. Harvest

The grape harvest is carried out at the exact moment of ripening, prioritizing the quality of the grapes. In many cases, it is done in a controlled manner to preserve their properties.

3. Preparation

Once at the winery, the grapes undergo destemming, pressing, and fermentation processes, carefully controlling the temperature and timing to extract their full aromatic and structural potential.

4. Parenting

Depending on the type of wine, it is aged in oak barrels, where the wine evolves and gains complexity. The group has thousands of barrels spread across its facilities.

5. Bottling and refining

After aging, the wine is bottled and continues to refine, achieving its final balance before being released to the market.

6. Quality control

Each stage is supervised by specialized technical teams, ensuring that each bottle meets the group's standards.
