Marqués del Atrio
SKU:
Why is it an Unusual Rioja? - A selection from the selection, first of bunches and then of barrels. It's an unusual blend of 85% Tempranillo and 15% Graciano - The vineyard surrounds the winery, minimizing the time until pressing - Aging takes place in French oak barrels to gain finesse and elegance (uncommon in traditional "crianza" wines) - Our location is unique, in Mendavia, the part of Navarra where the DOCa Rioja enters.

| Tasting notes | Dark ruby color of high intensity. It is intense and complex on the nose. Ripe fruit and spicy notes stand out, over an elegant toasted background. Fresh, flavorful with a forceful finish on the palate. Reminiscences of fruity and spicy notes characteristic of Graciano. |
| Vinification | Grapes are selected before entering fermentation tanks, destemmed and with a high proportion of whole berries due to manual harvesting which ensures the perfect condition of the bunches. Maceration and fermentation are controlled at temperatures between 24-28ºC. Aged in French oak barrels for a period of 12 months, followed by bottle aging for a minimum of 6 months. |
