The Rivero family has a very special bond with the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin.
In the mid-twentieth century, Faustino Rivero Ulecia wines of Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin, were designed to become an everyday pairing with excellent value for its price.
This bond has positioned the winemaking group in the Top 5 bodegas D.O.Ca. Rioja.

In the 80s, the fourth generation of the family, Agapito and Jesús Rivero (current director of the group), took the reins of the business and the moved the original winery in the center of Arnedo to the outskirts of town, building the current Faustino Rivero Ulecia Wineries and a warehouse on the premises with the capacity for more than 4,000 barrels.

Due to its philosophy of permanent innovation, in 2003 the Bodegas Marqués del Atrio were born, where the signature line of wines with the same name was developed, pursuing innovation and quality under the D.O.Ca. Rioja, and integrating old family tradition with the most advanced R&D.
